UHSl.ca - The Product Pacific Whiting/Pacific Hake

The UHS plant is located in Ucluelet Harbour on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. UHS is situated less than 1 hour from the fishing grounds. Our boats fish and deliver daily providing a truly fresh product. The Product is then fully processed in our own plant within hours of landing ensuring a freshly frozen product.

Pacific Whiting/Pacific Hake
(Merluccius productus)

1. HGT (Headed, Gutted, Tail-off)
Layer Pack frozen in 14 kg blocks, packed 1 block to a bag. A container holds 25.6 metric tons.
Size: XL 300 plus grams.

2. IQF HGT (Individually Quick Frozen)
Pakced in 15 kg cartons. A container holds 24 metric tons.
Size: XL 300 plus grams.

IQF HGT is washed, headed and tailed and has viscera removed. After being frozen they are glazed to keep in moisture and retain freshness.
IQF HGT is packaged in 15 kg bulk boxes-1600 cartons for a total of 2 metric tons per container.

3. IQF Pacific Hake Fillets (Skin On, Boned)
Packed in 13.5 kg cartons. Ocean run sizes are: 85-170 grams, average is 140 grams (approximately). A Container holds 21.6 metric tons.

4. 14 kg Block Frozen Pacific Hake, Headed, Gutted, Tail-off
This is a 14 kg block packed in a poly woven bag. 1600 cartons are placed into a 40' Reefer container, 25.6 metric tons per shipment.
